At the Suma self-service kiosk in Verla, you can book Oru kayaks from dawn to dusk. Experience Verla from the water!
Verla is a wonderfully diverse kayaking destination. The water is really clear and you'll see fish and waterplants and of course the protected UNESCO World Heritage Site landscape.
The Oru kayak is a stable and lightweight kayak for one person and is also suitable for beginners. The Oru kayak weighs about 10 kilos. The Oru Inlet has a total carrying capacity of 125 kg and the Oru Beach 136 kg. The Inlet is slightly shorter and is best suited for children. The Beach model is slightly longer and faster and is suitable for adults and longer paddles.
Rental time is a minimum of 2 hours, which ensures a hassle-free and comfortable paddling experience. There is plenty of time to pick up and put on your equipment. There is a lot to see on Verla's waters and time flies by. The two-hour rental time ensures a leisurely return even if the wind is against you on the way back, and you'll also have time to take pictures of Verla's beautiful buildings from the water - not many people have them.
The daily rental runs from 10.00 am to 10.00 am the following day. For longer rentals or renting equipment out of the Verla area, please contact us and we will agree the rental times and practicalities separately.
After booking you will receive instructions and a lock code to pick up your equipment. Our paddling base is located in the area of the Verla Factory Museum. From the Verla car park through the museum area to the beach downstream is a 150m walk.
Stop by the new Verla Suma self-service shop, where you can find cold drinks, camping food, camping equipment or even fill your own water bottle. Find out more and register to get access for the 2023 season: verlansuma.fi
